The one thing that I know about Mr. Knight he votes along party lines it is time to vote out party line voters and vote for someone that will vote for the protection of the people of California.
This means voting for bills supportted by the democrats that have an inpact on this state.
Mr. Knight like the Runners have voted down any all bills dealing with labor and the public school system pushing more and more toward the charter schools which are just private schools under another name and the private schools
Dont know about Ms Moffatt but it might be a good to choose someone else and see if they will work for California not not just the party like Mr. Knight does.

So how would voting Democrat work out for those of us who are not members of the class of folks Democrats in this state represent? You know, Union members, poor people, illegal aliens, or anyone who is looking for more government hand outs?

While Knight leaves much to be desired on issues that most people in this area care about, jobs and doing something anything about illegal aliens, he’s far far better than any Democrat who would just add more to mess created by majority Democratic party control of the state.

Not often I agree with Realsteve but he is correct voting in democrats just make it worse for california. The illegal alien situation is out of control and immensely impacts the economy and takes employment from americans who want to be employed.

The only real choice our system offers are Party Line D or Party Line R. You just hold your nose & vote for the least objectionable one.

A candidate who doesn’t toe the party line in all respects has no chance, and they all know it. Are you a Republican who doesn’t think a woman should have the inside of her vagina put on TV and be shown gory movies before getting an abortion? Better not let on, you’ll lose half your Christian voter base. Are you a Democrat who thinks a union voter should be able to cast a secret ballot without the union organizer & his buddies standing over him watching how he votes? Better not say so, all those union dollars & votes will go to the other Democrat who is running.

As an “R” I just vote for that candidate on the theory that putting 100% “D” in office makes it even worse. At least they should have SOME counterbalance voice, otherwise the “D” will stand for Dictatorship.

Went and read Star’s web site and frankly her approach to government seems to be more of what Democrats have been doing with a dash of the latest flavor in the AV of blaming the cops for arresting the fools who are committing crime that is so popular in the minority community. Most decent law abiding people in the AV could care less about 99.9 percent of the shit heads that run afoul of the law up here, so she’s going to have a hard time selling that trope to voters.

@Grumpy

I agree with you 100 percent! Most Republicans who are not politically active are moderate on the social issues but pretty hard core on fiscal and law and order issues. Yet the R party in CA went off the rails after Pete Wilson and now try to out bible thump in the party’s platform the worst of the worst Southern state.

Pete Knight and his wife Gale were and are fixated on gay issues in a negative way, yet Pete Knight had a well developed elbow, go figure. I had high hopes that Steve Knight would buck the trend and go after more law and order issues, maybe even take a run at illegal alien issues, sadly hasn’t happened. Knight’s still 110 percent better than any of the Democrats that have run or will run in the future however.

With regards to immigration, Cagy, wouldn’t both parties be arrogantly to blame for the lack of control? The thought of cheap labor energizes big corp. Republicans and strikes fear and indignation into the hearts of the Union worker. Hasn’t POTUS shipped more illegals than Bush?

casimmons and big idiot, yes both parties are to blame for the illegal alien situation and while it maynot be politically correct I will continue to call them illegal aliens or illegal immigrants. I watched as many did who returned to civilian life only to find most of the jobs in Los Angeles filled with illegal alien labor and by 1980 factory jobs were filled over 90% by illegal aliens, its no wonder many americans choose the welfare and hand out route since no jobs were available for them. Thats why its important to see Ron Paul be elected president.

Was the electroshock therapy and enema I see didn’t help you very much.G Bush might have been a coke and drinker, but he was a better president that Obama is or will ever be.You liberal loons like to point out his faults but you loons are blind to Obama;s faults and his own shady past. A collge professer and community organizer and he is worth millions? A birth certificate he won’t show, a birth which an aunt and a grandmother happened in Kenya,a history of abusing the system to bypass our constitution, his secret signings of law. So much for transparency huh Roxi. Face it both parties are so corrupt only a new fresh party and revamping the election campaign donations for candidates should go into a general fund.

Libs love to blame businesses large and small for hiring illegals. There are laws preventing employers from ssking people what their immigration status is. Thanyou ACLU!

Police officers in many cities can’t even ask immigration status during the booking of prisoners. Thanyou ACLU!

If an employer hires an illegal alien, that employer can be criminally charged or fined.

Catch 22 all the way around that issue.

avbornbred you forgot to mention due to special order 40 the LAPD can’t ask immigration status and with the recent policy of not impounding unlicensed illegal alien drivers we are all put at risk as one of my gay friends found out just before I left california. He was a liberal democrat who believed in open borders and all the baloney the democrazies believe in. Well after he was stuck in a hospital for a month and having to buy a new car to replace the one totaled by an illegal alien, I would assume he nows votes differently. He had insurance buy no where what he needed to cover the hospital stay and the damaged to the car plus being out of work for a solid month made him understand why I am against amnesty in any way shape or form.

One of the easiest ways to help turn this state around and cut down on the illegals and cut down on the prison cost is put chains on their legs and put them into the fields.
Oh hold that can’t do that thats crude and unsual punishment making them work.
Both parties don’t want to take up this issue. Mr. Knight or the Runners have even answered this question

What are you going to do when you get a notice from the State of California that you are not eligible to vote, and must prove that you are a United States Citizen?

Virtual Blackout From National Media On Voter Suppression In Florida

Florida Governor Rick Scott® has directed his administration to purge the state’s voting rolls of thousands of registered voters prior to the November election. But his list, which purports to include only “non-citizens,” targets mostly Democrats and Hispanics and, as ThinkProgress has documented, may disenfranchise hundreds of citizens who are eligible to vote."
(snip)

Do YOU have your original birth certificate? How many people have the original?

What do you think should be required certified identification, especially if the state your were born in has reprocessed/computerized your document with ‘newer’ typefaces, etc?

Roxi funny you bought up the birth certificate, I don’t have my original anymore since it was stolen by illegal aliens who used it to rob my bank account, get ID’s in my name and loot whatever they can. It seems while there maybe voter fraud by both parties it looks like it happens more often by the democrazies. Everyone should have an ID, everyone needs an ID to apply for welfare (except illegal aliens that is), get a driver’s license, buy cigarettes or alcohol. This whining about voter ID laws by liberals, the ACLU and the Democrazies seem dishonest and self serving to me.

We all want a true voting system that allows each US Citizen one vote. Showing ID is a safety check that insures the elections will be true and correct.

The so called civil rights groups somehow think showing ID at a polling place is some violation of their Constitutional Civil Rights. Can anyone explain how it is a violation? Eric Holder described it as an erosion of peoples rights. I don’t get it.

Interesting that the Cons on this blog accuse Obama of being desperate, when the REPUBLICAN Governor of FL and other Gov’s across the country are compiling rosters of so-called ineligible voters, all from the Democratic and HIspanic rolls. Talk about desperate!

I’d say ALEC, the GOP version of ACORN has been very busy……

One person, a 90-year-old Veteran from WWII got a notice from the Fla. Gov., and he’s voted since he was 18 – perhaps not for the RIGHT party, eh?

What are you going to do when the state you live in decides you’re too old to drive, and refuses to issue you another drivers’ license? Dig out your birth cert., only to be told by the Birther In Chief that it’s not the original, and therefore will not be accepted?

California now requires that ‘new voters’ show picture ID when they first go to vote. Also, if the state decides that you are not a ‘frequent’ voter, you may also have to vote provisional, in which your vote may count or – not.

Who’s to say the state screws up and loses your listing in the big book?

Yeah, I don’t mind showing my ID either, no problemo. But I am concerned about those who have been proven to select certain ‘classes’ of people and deny them the right to vote. It can go both ways, y’know.
