HUD drops case against City of LAncaster?
From the Antelope Valley Times, we find the story about the NAACP and HUD dropping the case against the City of Lancaster. In addition so goes the investigation. In accordance with this withdrawal, HUD has terminated its investigation, therefore administratively closing the complaint.

This is one time that I backed up King Rex. I thought, all along, that this entire thing was bs. Local authorities have the right to investigate fraud. There was no discrimination (except against crooks).
The facts are that a vast majority of Section 8 recipients in the AV are either black or Latino. There is no discrimination.
I think the only real issue was how King Rex and his thugs handled the investigations. I think in a lot of the cases, there were too heavy handed.
It’s time to get back to rooting out the fraud in Section 8 because there are truly disabled people who should be able to get it.

I would agree to some extent. He got Lancaster officials to get off the dime and do something. Lancaster was (and has been) dead in the water, so-to-speak from the get-go thru Henry Hearns administration. Rex has moved things foreword.
My gripe is how he does it. He isn’t the friendliest guy around. He is basically, your garden variety bully.

AVTC as someone who has been disabled a long time and who tried to get low income housing, its impossible to get section 8 unless you are black or brown in color. HUD is full of corruption as I noted before sveral times that if I had paid $150.00 I would have been placed at the top of the list. Section should only go to american citizens, senior citizenss and disabled citizens.

There are countless leaders, CEOs, business people, mayors, governors, coaches, senators, congressmen, teachers, etc. who are very successful without being bullies. Bullying is one style of “leadership.” Not my personal favorite. I find leadership principles by people such as John Wooden, Ronald Reagan, Howard Putnam, etc. to be far for effective, edifying and energizing.
