Subject: God was busy
A young Canadian paratrooper was taking some college courses between assignments.
He had completed 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan .
One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
… He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “GOD, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform… I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes”
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.
Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am GOD, I’m still waiting.”
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him clean off the platform.
The professor was out cold.
The young soldier went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked, “What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”
The young soldier stood up and calmly replied,
“GOD was too busy today protecting soldiers, who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an idiot. So He sent me.”
The classroom erupted in cheers!

This reminds me of the story of the US Marine Lt. who was brought up on charges for kicking the crap out of French military officer. From what I recall, this POSSIBLY happened after the invasion of Afghanistan. The French officer was critical of President Bush and his “John Wayne Cowboy” attitude. After exchanging words with the French officer, a physical fight started. The Frenchman lost and suffered some injuries. The Marine, Lt . Mary Smith(? I don’t know the name,) pled guilty to injuring the French Officer.

AVBB I heard the same story but didn’t check whether it was true or not. But here is a site it might be on, called Bad Ass of the Week. Every week it tells a true story of some asskicking soldiers etc who overcome big odds to win a battle or fight.

Summary of the eRumor
An alleged first-hand account of a confrontation between a U.S. Marine and a French Army officer in a PX in Bosnia. The two soldiers exchange views and insults about France and the USA ‘til the U.S. Marine offers to step outside and settle things between the two of them.
The French officer issues a final insult and walks away.
The story is capped by the fact that the episode involved a female Marine officer.
The Truth
It’s a great story, which is why it’s being circulated, but there is no evidence that it is true.
Also, Camp Bondsteel is in Kosovo, not Bosnia.

A funny thing happened to me yesterday at Camp Bondsteel (Bosnia):
A French army officer walked up to me in the PX, and told me he thought
we (Americans) were a bunch
of cowboys and were going to provoke a war. He said if such a thing
happens, we wouldn’t be able to count on the support of France. I told
him that it didn’t surprise me. Since we had come to France’s rescue
in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, and the Cold War, their
ingratitude and jealousy, was due to surface at some point in the near
future anyway. That is why France is a third-rate military power with a
socialist economy and a bunch of wimps for soldiers.
I additionally told him that America, being a nation of deeds and
action, not words, would do whatever it had to do, and France’s support
was only for show anyway. Just like in ALL NATO exercises, the US
would shoulder 85% of the burden, as evidenced by the fact that the
French officer was shopping in the American PX, and not the other way
around.
He began to get belligerent at that point, and I told him if he would
like to, I would meet him outside in front of the Burger King and beat
his butt in front of the entire Multi-National Brigade East, thus
demonstrating that even the smallest American had more fight in him
than the average Frenchman.
He called me a barbarian cowboy and walked away in a huff.
With friends like these, who needs enemies?

This thread is for all of our atheist bloggers who lack common sense and a soul. I would dearly love to be that soldier and Ray the retarded or Marsh the marshmellowmindman the professor, I believe everybody who has had to suffer from reading Ray or Cyberidiot absurd foolish nonsense would cheer me for hours if not weeks for closing your pie holes.
