Where's the Posting????
A.V. Observer must be on vacation or something. There was this massive article today in the Valley Press about the Mongols suing the City of Lancaster for $11 million. Isn’t he going to talk about how proud he is of Rex standing up to the Mongols??

I’m wondering when the taxpayers of Lancaster are going to express their displeasure with Rex Parris’ using the notoriety generated by these lawsuits as his leverage for national prominence.

Let’s face it: Rex Parris wants to be nationally known. Since O.J. Simpson isn’t on trial for murder, he’ll need to create some other issue to catapult him into the national scene. He’s been trying like crazy to get traction with this China thing, but it’s just not happening.

Maybe an $11 million lawsuit will buy him the national attention. Get out your checkbooks, taxpayers of Lancaster. We’re in for a long, expensive, and bumpy ride…..

He is also silent about the latest crime rate numbers. Why is it we cannot keep up with Palmdale for safest city status in the A.V.

the numbers are off the map, where lancaster’s crime is concerned. per newstoday, we’re down ANOTHER 12%!!!!!!

i think that means we’re at about -4, aren’t we? which translates to NO crime, and criminals breaking into houses to do good deeds. wow

(all swoon as rex walks by!) lol

why, with the lack of crime, rex will have to invite the mongols back, just to have some bad guys to rail against!

I can’t wait for the depositions! Should be good to crack the inner workings of a MC club like the Mongoles.

Palmdales decrease was twice as large as Lancaster. Why?

I can hardly wait for the depositions to find out why the Mongols were welcomed at Thunder on the Lot earlier in the year, but it took the City of Lancaster two months to find out that they were a violent biker gang.

I think Rex was quite truthful when he said that he was astonished by the lawsuit. I don’t think he thought in a million years that they would file suit.

I better get out my checkbook. Let’s see….$11,000,000 divided by 180,000 population, that’s only about $61 per person.

That’s not too bad to contribute to the “let’s help Rex get nationally famous” fund.

Total spin on our crime stats this time. Stupid paper simply reprinted the bs press release. Did anybody else notice their bragging number, VIOLENT CRIME DOWN 12%, was a reader’s choice! The real number, PART 1 CRIME, was only -4%. And they avoided the other important statistic, the crime RATE. we are still well over the benchmark 300; that’s a standard looked at by every legitemate news, real estate, law enforcement, and other rating organizations. I see Palmdale has been below that for years.

You’re obviously a cheerleader for Palmdale. City Council member maybe?

Does anyone know what the Palmdale crime statistics would be if they used the same reporting system as Lancaster?

Maybe I just actually READ the subtle differences in how the stats were reported this time. The important thing is the consistent overall decrease. How you and your council take credit isn’t important, just interesting.

It would benefit the communities if an unbiased analysis was done on population demographics of prisons vs local communities.

Since our prisons are overcrowded, it seems logical that crime would drop because the criminals are in prison.

What are the costs to the state and taxpaying communities to house all these criminals, and why is the crime rate still high?

Until we get rid of the group homes and halfway houses crime will always be a problem.

RR hit it on the head. Sierra highway has whole motels filled with parolees and sex offenders, and we need to disincentivize the owners of these unlicensed group, halfway and so-called sober living houses.

Ocn8- those prison community numbers are out there. If the community is an “inmate reception center”, the convicts are only there for a short time to be evaluated, and sent off to their long term facility. They switched ours back and forth, and we saw the crime drop dramatically in Lancaster when it was made a reception center. The convicts families don’t relocate here then. They wait and move where the convict is going to be housed. I know they talked about changing it to a “special needs” max facility, where the worst of the worst are sent.

Now, like me told you before..Give me the circumstances of the case where Rex Parris beat yer ass in court, and DO NOT leave out how money it cost you.

Thanks, Lib..

I’ve seen law suits like this before where they go for the the deep pockets where the judge found the company 20 or 30 per cent at fault they were awarded that much of the total bill.

TRex has probably put his foot in it, big time. Look up Skokie Ill v. Illinois Nazis. Skokie lost under the First Amendment right to free assembly back in the 70’s. Lancaster is going to loose too, how much the city will have to pay is going to be the question.
