Second Amendment: It’s Not About
Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, It’s About Tyranny

Now that Obama has tested the water on government gun control with a speech delivered before the National Urban League, we can expect the divisive issue to play a role in his re-election campaign.
Obama and his globalist handlers – who ultimately want every gun confiscated – understand that the American people by and large support the Second Amendment. This is why the president patronized hunters and shooters with an oily sleight of hand.
“I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals,” Obama said. “That they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities.”
In fact, according to the founders, guns – including AK47s in the modern context – belong in the hands of the citizens and their state militias, as plainly and eloquently spelled out in the Second Amendment. Thomas Jefferson and the founders did not craft the Second Amendment to protect the right of hunters and target shooters. It was included – right after the First Amendment guareenting political speech – to ensure the right of citizens to violently oppose a tyrannical federal government if need be.
AK47s and other “assault” weapons are the sort of tools that will be used if push comes to shove and the people must violently oppose the government.
Obama supporters and other lovers of the state recoil at the prospect of armed resistance to a tyrannical centralized federal government and refuse to accept that this is what the Second Amendment is all about. “The rights of conscience, of bearing arms, of changing the government, are declared to be inherent in the people,” wrote Fisher Ames, a member of the Massachusetts convention that ratified the Constitution in 1788. This concept is antithetical to the modern liberal who believes government to be a force of good.
“The Second Amendment was to protect the ability of the people to violently overthrow the government,” writes Richard Schrade, an attorney from Georgia and member of the Libertarian National Committee. “Let’s remember that this country was formed in a violent revolution. Let’s remember that at Lexington and Concord citizen fired on and killed government soldiers sent by the central government to confiscate their weapons and arms…. When viewed in this light, it is apparent that a limitation on automatic weapons would be an infringement on the purposes of the Second Amendment.”
If Obama supporters, Democrats, “progressives” and others demanding the government take our firearms in a misplaced effort to stop maniacs from killing people were honest, they would work to repeal the Second Amendment instead of chipping away at it piecemeal. “If we are going to have gun control then let’s not dicker around the fringes. Let those who would limit the law-abiding citizen’s access to arms first repeal the Second Amendment. That would be the intellectually honest way to address the issue,” writes Schrade.
Such a debate is only possible today because formerly free men no longer have a grasp of history and have been brainwashed by decades of government mandated public education and propaganda. Early on in America, both the Federalists and the anti-Federalists agreed that arms and liberty are inextricably linked. George Mason and others knew reflexively that the most effective way to enslave a people is to disarm them. Mason, in particular, argued that divine providence had given every individual the right of self-defense – including the right to defend against a tyrannical government. Today, we have forgotten all of this.
Obama can easily get away with making an outrageous speech about hunting and target shooting and almost completely ignore criticism and not be called to task. We are told that he is a constitutional scholar. How could a constitutional scholar be completely ignorant of the Second Amendment’s true purpose and the admonitions of the founders? What constitutional scholar would be ignorant of Jefferson’s famous assertion, made in a letter to William Smith in 1787, that the “tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants”?
Obama is not a constitutional scholar. It is a phony title like just about everyhting else about the man. He is a teleprompter reader for a shadow global elite determined to debar access to weapons and take away those already in our possession. Not because of maniacs in theaters or classrooms, but in order to render us helpless against the violence of the state.

If this doesn’t wake you up to what the US is becoming, nothing will. If I told you a year ago they would try to take our guns and Russia would allow her citizens to possess firearms you would have laughed. Now it can be seen just how radically the media and government are trying to transform our nation. They want the guns so they can really violate your constitutional rights and you cannot fight back. Already they push bogus free trade agreements that outsource our jobs and/or import labor. Already they push gay marriage against your will. Already they allow and encourage illegal aliens to come here after we overwhelmingly said stop them. You let them take guns and you will really be sorry and without any recourse.

I was listening to a talk show and they were say that too many goood people won’t run for a office because you have to open up so much of your life that it isn’t worth it.
We may vote someone out of office but what is the next person going to be like just one puppet for another it seems like that is all that goes on.

I’ve fantasized about running for mayor based on my principals. If someone don’t like them, ‘too bad’, is my attitude. So based on my principals, because I’m not a a BSer, I’d never get elected.
Our President and admin are a disgrace. Our Governor is a disgrace. The Los Angeles mayor is a disgrace. Our local mayors have no balls.
Obama is just a dumb nowhere near qualified puppet. They should have selected some unknown actor who can improvise when the ’prompter breaks down.
The way the governement has been going the past decade or two, it’s become so weak, it will eventually implode. Capitalism is not a problem. Corruption is, so call it like you see it.
My apologies, Mike, for going off thread.

Obama a Constitutional Scholar? He may have studied it, but he does not know it, or he does not respect it.
Our country is made up of “givers” and “takers”. Currently, there are more takers, the ones who get the entitlements. The givers are being forced to give more. To many Libs, the givers are not giving enough. Obama wants to continue to take more and give more. One day the well will run dry.

I think we have all fantasized about being a public official. I KNOW I could do a better job with the economy than Obama is. I know I could handle Foreign Policy better than Obama. And, I know I could handle the border situation better.
The local stuff is a lot harder. Being a local mayor means you do what Visco wants, and thats it!!

If the UN used troops to take our guns in accordance with any treaty, the Congress would impeach Obama. There would be enough outrage from the GOP and Dems to remove him. I don’t think you would see a mass revolution or civil war, but a major rejection of Obama.

We have enough gun control laws on the books now and Obama is looking at a new way of make more gun control by turn our government over to the UN. Obama may be a constitutional Scholar but what did he study how to under mine it because he has gone againt it from day one in office.
We all need to get out and read the Constitution and learn what is in it and all of the amendments that are attached to it and look at all of our rights that have gone by by. I believe in the first ten of the bill of rights. Obama has thrown out or doesnt believe in the 10th Amendment about State righgts

Will This New Fast and Furious Revelation Force Holder to Resign? Posted on July 31, 2012 at 11:33am by J
Representative Darrell Issa of California
Without any help from the Obama administration or the U.S. Department of Justice, GOP congressional investigators have determined that five senior officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are together responsible for the failed federal gun-walking operation “Fast and Furious,” The Los Angeles Times reports.
The final report, which is expected to be released later this week, also reveals new evidence that shows agents from ATF in Phoenix initially tried to hide crucial information from the Mexican government about two firearms that were recovered after the brother of a Mexican state attorney general was killed in the country. The report claims the operation was “marred by missteps, poor judgements and inherently reckless strategy.”
Those implicated go from the ATF special agent-in-charge of the Phoenix field office to the top official in the bureau’s Washington headquarters. Attorney General Eric Holder has always denied any involvement of officials in Washington, D.C.
The congressional investigators said the report, obtained Monday by the Los Angeles Times, holds “the best information available as of now” about Fast and Furious, which led to Holder being found in contempt of Congress for failing to provide duly subpoenaed documents.
Two additional final reports will address “the devastating failure of supervision and leadership” at the DOJ and an “unprecedented obstruction of the [congressional] investigation by the highest levels of the Justice Department, including the attorney general himself.”
The Times has more details:
The joint staff report, authored by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the top Republican on theSenate Judiciary Committee, was highly critical of the ATF supervisors.
They found that William Newell, the special agent-in-charge in Phoenix, exhibited “repeatedly risky” management and “consistently pushed the envelope of permissible investigative techniques.” The report said “he had been reprimanded … before for crossing the line, but under a new administration and a new attorney general he reverted back to the use of risky gunwalking tactics.”
His boss, Deputy Assistant Director for Field Operations William McMahon, “rubber stamped critical documents that came across his desk without reading them,” the report alleged. “In McMahon’s view it was not his job to ask any questions about what was going on in the field.”
They added that McMahon gave “false testimony” to Congress about signing applications for wiretap intercepts in Fast and Furious.
His supervisor, Mark Chait, assistant director for field operations, “played a surprisingly passive role during the operation,” the report said. “He failed to provide oversight that his experience should have dictated and his position required.”
Above Chait was Deputy Director William Hoover, who the report said ordered an exit strategy to scuttle Fast and Furious but never followed through: “Hoover was derelict in his duty to ensure that public safety was not jeopardized.”
And they said Melson, a longtime career Justice official, “often stayed above the fray” instead of bringing Fast and Furious to an “end sooner.”
But, the investigators said, ATF agents said that they were hamstrung by federal prosecutors in Arizona from obtaining criminal charges for illegal gun sales, and that Melson “even offered to travel to Phoenix to write the indictments himself. Still, he never ordered it be shut down.”
In the November 2010 slaying in Mexico of Mario Gonzalez, the brother of Patricia Gonzalez, then attorney general for the state of Chihuahua, two of 16 weapons were traced back to Fast and Furious after they were recovered from a shootout with Mexican police.
But 10 days later, ATF Agent Tonya English urged Agent Hope MacAllister and their supervisor, David J. Voth, to keep it under wraps. “My thought is not to release any information,” she told them in an email.
When Patricia Gonzalez later learned that two of the guns had been illegally obtained under Fast and Furious, she was outraged. “The basic ineptitude of these officials [who ordered the Fast and Furious operation] caused the death of my brother and surely thousands more victims,” she said.
The following month, Agent Terry was killed south of Tucson. Voth emailed back, “Ugh … things will most likely get ugly.”
Roughly 2,500 guns were walked in operation Fast and Furious, supposedly in an attempt to track the guns back to high-ranking drug cartel members. However, the program was shut down after U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in December 2010. At that point, most of the weapons had been lost, but two of the guns were recovered at the scene of Terry’s murder.
Attorney General Eric Holder (AP)
The five ATF managers that are indicated in the upcoming congressional report have since moved to other positions. They have either defended Fast and Furious in congressional testimony or refused to talk about it. The LA Times attempted to contact the officials but were unsuccessful Monday.
Additionally, Holder and the DOJ have always maintained that Fast and Furious was only conducted out of the Arizona offices and never involved officials in Washington, D.C., who he says were unaware of the flawed “tactics” being implemented. Holder has refused to turn over all the documents requested by a Congressional committee headed by Rep. Darrel Issa (R-Calif.) and Obama has granted executive privilege in the case, which has raised additional question about how involved the White House was in the operation.

Russian MPs suggest allowing public use of firearms
RT.com
July 26, 2012
(RT Video of the news cast available on infowars.com)
Following the shooting spree in a Colorado cinema, Russian legislators have drafted a bill which would allow public use of firearms. The law’s sponsors hope to curb crime rates, while opponents say legal air-guns already cause enough damage.
The principle behind the drafted bill allowing the private use of handguns is “my home is my castle,” so any invasion of private space could be met with loaded barrels.
Aleksandr Torshin, who drafted the bill, says pistol owners might get divided into several groups. Some would be sanctioned to use weapons to protect their homes only, while others would be authorized to take handguns in their cars. The most privileged group would be permitted to carry pistols anywhere. This third category could include postmen, ambulance staff and social workers.
To have the right to use handguns, Russians would have to prove they are not mentally ill, have no criminal record, are not addicted to alcohol or drugs and undergo special training.
Torshin and his supporters think more guns would bring down crime rates. It has also been suggested that Russia’s GDP would benefit from a gun sales boom and the industry would become more competitive given the surge in demand. The average cost of a pistol is around $300, while the number of potential pistol buyers is as high as 23 million, according to Torshin’s estimates.
Opponents dispute the logic underpinning the bill. MPs say that air-guns, which are already allowed in Russia, are more than enough for self-defense. A rubber bullet fired from such a weapon can break a skull and inflict a deadly wound.
A d v e r t i s e m e n t
Experts also doubt the new law would help to discipline the public. Air-guns are quite frequently used in street rows instead of self-defense, so making a stock of firearms available to the public would only criminalize society, they point out.
“I am totally against this initiative,” Veniamin Rodzyansky, a member of the Public Chamber, told RT. “We remember the case of the football fan Egor Sviridov. He was shot dead with a non-lethal gun.”
“This whole debate has a single cause, namely that society feels unsafe. It wants justice and it’s up to the government to provide this protection. To provide it, and not to sell it to people for money,” added Rodzyansky.
A 100-page draft law was released Wednesday, while the upper chamber of Russia’s Parliament listened to Torshin’s report on Tuesday. Russia’s government has already called the bill “unnecessary and ill-timed”, but the legislators are still to pass their judgment. If the initiative is approved, the draft will get a full hearing in one of the autumn sessions.
