the UK , United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and
to all the world…
“I’m 83 and I’m Tired”
I’m 83. Except for brief period in the 50′s when I was doing my National
Service, I’ve worked hardsince I was 17. Except for some some serious
health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn’t call in sick in nearly
40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my
income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as
though retirement was a bad idea, and I’m tired. Very tired.
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who
don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take
the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy
to earn it.
I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global
warming, which no one is allowed to debate.
I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help
support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ
rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses
or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?
I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all
parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful
mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting
caught. I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
I’m really tiredof people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and
actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination
or big-whatever for their problems.
I’m also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and
early 20′s be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making
themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.
Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I’m not
going to have to see the world these people are making.. I’m just sorry for
my granddaughter and her children. Thank God I’m on the way out and not
on the way in.

Cyberguy: I sense you really have a dislike for whoever wrote the above article, Cosby or imposter. I tend to think Cosby may have written it because it is similar to a speech he gave blasting the young black generation.
I was not born in the 50’s, so I don’t know if your comments were directed at me or not. But what was wrong with people wanting a simple life where people respected each other and worked hard?
Nothing wrong with the opinions of those who have already lived long lives. Their opinions are something to be considered.

AVBB I was born in 1952, people were hard working, there was little crime like there is now and people respected each other far more then at present. Cyberfaggot and others like him want the world to be in Chaos as that is the only way to achieve their aims, since they can’t attract the intelligent only losers like Matt and Ray.

Come on Cagy, Ray, Matt, Cyberdude, Highground, and Roxi the Ferocious, are out friends. Think of the hours we have all spent reading the blogs, debating issues , and wondering how we all have this much time on our hands.
Having left California, I have found I miss the political drama there at the State and Local levels. Politics is different here. People tend to vote for the person rather than the party. Congressman Stupak is a good example. He was popular until he cast the deciding vote on Obamacare. He has since been replaced because he betrayed his supporters. Talk about taking one for the team.
I don’t think many of us California bloggers would vote out a fellow Dem or GOP politician because of a bad vote on an issue. Look at Boxer and Pelosi. Also Waters. Dems support nuts in Cali no matter what they do.

Cagy seems to represent a particular psychosis, call it the the ‘Ace Carter syndrome’, the need, even compulsion, to dominate the conversation and to see himself as an avatar, an alter-ego, bigger, stronger, tougher than he is in reality.
That’s why blogs need moderators. Otherwise, these ‘little men with a keyboard and a pseudonym’ compulsions drive everyone else away. It’s a desperate desire to be vindicated for their failings, to justify their losses.

The truth is that our ‘retarded’ son is very talented. That’s what Cagy can never understand. Geordan will graduate (from Cagy’s alma mater AV College) next semester with a certificate in ‘Digital Media’. He’s already been scouted by Disney after passing ‘3-D Animation’ and winning a Photoshop design award.

Respecting the late Frank Marshall Davis, though I am familiar with him, never have I written anything about the man.
The short of it is that avbornbred is a shallow, simpleminded, little man who lacks sufficient enough courage to reveal his true identity, let alone his lacking the right to question my fortitude – that of Guy Robert Marsh, 3220 Monte Carlo Court, Lancaster, California, 93536.
With that having been said, it is no less ridiculous to state that I dislike this country than what it would be to state that I love this country. It is simply a matter of my being an internationalist; one who deems the interests of the working class – the international working class – to be far more important than the interests of any nation state which virtually always boil down to the narrow self-interests of various nation state’s capitalist classes.
Ergo, I advocate the abolition of all borders and thus the nation states, nativism, jingoism and wars that define them.

Regarding the Working Class: Capitalist love workers. Unions need to love Capitalist. How would the millions of UAW workers have had careers making cars if not for business minded people, with brains, who actually did things that changed peoples lives for the good. Henry Ford has done more and had more of a positive influence than Karl Marx ever did.
Public unions, one of which I am a member, are just plain greedy. I can see that the minimal contribution increases by members requested by cities, counties, and states, are very reasonable. The union leaders are not willing to budge. The private sector workers and small business owners, know how to live with an up and down income. So when you refer to workers, remember, there are different types of workers, union and non-union.

So again, were this a formal debate, its judges would have already admonished avbornbred for his failure to address the issues at hand.
