This was a wrong move by Rex and his supporters. Rodio and his clan was doing just fine making themselves look like idiots and ambulance chasers over Marquez’s remarks.

Rex is running against a group of proven losers, and he is putting them into the drivers seat and handing them the lead. The BIG V needs to back off and look at what his organization is doing. The tactics used for years in AV politics is now being exposed and is common knowledge to more and more people.

I am now predicting Rodio will win. This was a very stupid move by Rex. This ranks up there with supporting Walmart in QH!

The Republicans in AVRA are better planners, stay in line until they get utterly frustrated and do what they are told. They can be promised a seat and get passed over at the last minute. They tend to hold their tongues and just move on. Democrats don’t.

Sorry, PK, over the last 20 plus years I’ve been in politics in this valley, AVRA has produced winners because they do have a sense of shutting up and listening to their leaders. Dems don’t.

I can remember when certain Republicans were helping out the Democratic club by paying for its mailers because the Dems had no money, no real organization at the time, and lots of infighting.

AVRA has always had money, hidden infighting and well planned out strategies.

Sorry Cagy Wolf, Darren has spoken out in many situations that supported the position of white individuals. When Stephan Corson (black boy) was killed over at the Palmdale School District’s Juniper School several years back, Darren stood with then superintendent Nancy Smith and virtually took the side of the white boy Matthew Perry. Many blacks did not appreciate how he articulated his position but that was his position nonetheless.

I don’t find Darren Parker to be a racist at all otherwise he would not have led the task force for 14 years.

When he sent his person to Johnathon Ervin THREE TIMES to tell Johnathon how to vote on Walmart, Johnathon was upset, very upset. Johnathon said he would vote his conscience and he would also listen to the people. He felt the EIRs were flawed, Rex was pushing and promising to give him money to run for City Council. Vose was also suppose to excuse himself from the vote for potential CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

When Johnathan cast his vote, Sandy Smith accused him of having already made up his mind. Jim Vose became a useful Wrecks tool. The rest is history. Wrecks told me he would destroy Johnathons career and I await to see what the lawsuit brings.

I am glad it was noticed before I had to say it and I am sad that Bill Parris is not here to concur.

Rex has no respect for black people who do not do as they are told — me, Darren Parker, Johnathon Ervin, and Henry Hearns off and on when Henry does not serve him.

Next you will see Rex standing with black ministers set up probably by Henry Hearns. In order to get along with Parris, Runner and the rest you have to turn off your hearing when it comes to them talking about black people. But, hey, it’s becoming more and more obvious!

Yes the task force should have kept better records but it is incorporated as a non profit and Lancaster’s kept the books for the past 14 years or so. R. Rex wants the city’s money back because the task force didn’t jump when he pulled the string. So he’s seeking to cripple it by sending all the funds in the account back to the donors. Rex won last time because people didn’t know him, they just knew his name from the billboards and they were willing to buy into the notion that he was “independent”, and just wanted to do what was best for the city. They bought the package he was selling, or 40% of them did anyway.

Now they have lived with him for 2 years- First thing he did was ignore the vote to consolidate the elections to November, then he moved the council meetings to a time most people can’t participate, then he spent a year and a half insulting and denigrating citizens.

Can he get 40% of the citizens to vote for him again, just because he put prayer on the ballot? No, he won’t be able to.

We could talk about the 3 people Rex talked into running to try to split the Arnie vote, but the voters won’t really be talking much about them, so why bother….

I think some people would rather read the blogs and learn to read between the lines then get those lovey dovey costly campaign mailers.

On the mailers you get lots of dribble about the candidates — on the blog you get disagreement that forces you to prove your point in some form or fashion. Sorry, an expert strategist see the intelligence in using all forms of communication and never degrading to any great extent any one of them. You never know what turns someone on.

Again, I disagree with Denese. Rex didn’t win because people didn’t know him. People hated him in fact. Rex won because he did something Rodio did not do. He took his campaign to the people and fed them a fairy tale. He met with parents and kids and persuaded the people in the precincts dominated by Blacks and Hispanics that he would do more for their kids than Rodio would. Rodio was busy having press conferences about how one hit mailer or another was negative and wrong. Rex was busy rolling in the grass with the kids and staying beneath the radar.

Rex had 8,000 soccer families behind him that had taken pictures with him and had been introduced to him. Rodio missed the ball in many ways. He overlooked many opportunities.

If Rex has not been such an asshole he would have beat Arnie hands down. But Rex let his ego get in the way.

This election is not so much about Arnie winning because he’s a better candidate. It’s about Rex losing because he created his own HELL AND is basically giving the election away.

When I first went to work for Rex, he promised to get me on his insurance so I could get one. He was so attentive then. I couldn’t wait until the election was over. I looked at that long list of promises and had to scratch my head. He had blown so much hot air up my arse.
