Biden Jokes About Obama Teleprompter
marino says...
Without a teleprompter, President Britewit has been this this many states:
Redflag says...
marino: “[Barack Obama] has more gaffs on YouTube in a few months than Bush had in eight years.” Really?
While I have long found the widespread notion that Barack Obama is “a great orator” to be ludicrous in the extreme (at least with respect to the oration skills of Fidel Castro, Winston Churchill, Daniel De Leon, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, etc.), to suggest that Barack Obama is a less talented speaker and thus a less intelligent human being than is the doltish George W. Bush is to traffic in disingenuousness and partisan politics of the highest order. After all, I find myself hard-pressed to recall a single instance in which marino has so much as alluded to George W. Bush’s obviously doltish nature.

Some thirty-six hours after my second round of questioning with respect to this “protect ‘traditional marriage’” buncombe, Randy Hall “responded” by way of posting nothing more than “http://www.str.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=5255,” which, I suppose, was intended to direct readers to the following website:
The Playful Walrus. But in reading said website, I have been unable to locate any reference(s) having to do with exactly how “traditional marriage” is threatened by same-sex marriage. Perhaps Randy Hall would be so gracious as to point out what it is that I have overlooked.
Persevere.

Good day.

He Greg Koukl said “if marriage is to stand for something is should be defined.” If as digital says the popular will can change the meaning then marriage stands for nothing. That means vows mean nothing because it would take away their meaning. If you want to say it is a persons’ wish, then you’ve defeated your own arguement, as there is no need for the state to limit a homosexual’s liberty by the issuing of a marraige certificate.

Your first prevarication of the mornin’, RH: better take an extra helpin’ of crackers from Padre on Domingo-day. I did not claim the meaning of the word “marriage” was subject to a vote; in fact, quite the opposite. The State has no business being involved in the cohabitation-contract business whatsoever, str8, or not.

Digital, not sure why I’d need any crackers, as you can be neither right nor wrong and according to you in some situations I’m as right or wrong as you. We’re brothers stop being so judgmental.
I don’t disagree with you on the cohabitation contract, so all this malarkey can just go away.

Cracker ala La Misa Ritz, dewd. You didn’t quite grasp the point on ethical statements/moral proclamations not being rational as well—that’s not the same as mere nihilism. (Point to the object that the word “Good” (or Eeevil) refers to, for starters). Actually, I do hold to something like objective ethics on a macro scale: which is to say, people who drop bombs on civilians (as the US military has repeatedly, including AV Hero Pete Napalm Knight) are guilty of murder and will pay the price, somewhere.

Randy Hall says...
Bombs are your specialty, not sure why you worry if they kill when others do it. Your intent is to cause people emotional distress, so you are kind of like an F4 pilot swooping over a jungle village with a full bomb load. Only difference is one knows he is intending to do harm, you on the other hand simply think it makes you look superior as in morally superior and since there is no logic to your position…
Digital “napalm” Mother Jones. Flame away!

RH Non Sequitur # 84589 or so. Indeed, your spiritual supervisor, The Pope has said much the same about the bombs and deaths of iraqi civilians (as did the dude before him). The point is that your own code of morality (pseudo-morality) is neither xtian, or even coherent. For a Randy type conservative, a few hundred thousand civilian dead in war, no biggie. Corporate greed and corruption, no biggie. But a lesbian or queer wedding: El Diablo! That’s how the GOP Herd Mind operates.

Digital “napalm” MJ, please read Romans 13. The Pope doesn’t want me to overthrow my government. He wants me to elect people that won’t bomb kids. Till we can get everybody on the same page, I’m being a good little Catholic, regardless of your harsh judgment of me.
You got to admit the Hanoi bombings did get those terrorists to Paris. When we back off on the bombing they didn’t want to talk anymore. An interesting thought, we have the power to bring peace to the world today, why don’t we do it?

RH Non Sequitur # 84590. Pointing out that the popes denounced the US Military does not at all equal claiming that the Pope said to overthrow the govt. Another fallacy (and really, a type of intellectual sin even per catholicism). As far as Hanoi/Nam, there were estimated 3 million total NV deaths (I’ve heard higher), and about 55,000 USA. I doubt JC himself was too pleased.
I’m well acquainted with the Good Book, RH: even a bit of the catholics’ interesting interpretations of the original koine greek and hebrew. (And “Paul” was not JC, btw)

Redflag says,
“…. to suggest that Obama is a less talented speaker….than Bush…”
I simply said Obama has more gaffes on You-Tube as President than Bush had. I’m not refering to repeat vids. Bush was able to improvise when his ‘prompter failed. Obama freezes and/or babbles. Don’t take it from me, Guy, watch the videos. It’s all there.
“I find myself hardpressed to recall a single instance…(where Marino suggested Bush was a poor speaker)…”
Bush was/is a poor speaker. :-) Obama is a better speaker with a ’prompter than Bush was. Bush was much more capable than Obama sans a ’prompter, ie., off the cuff.
Once again, Guy, please compare videos. Bush’s gaffes are also all there, on You-Tube. Obama wins, hands down.
He along with Biden are the dynamic gaffe duo.

Obama sounds about like an ordinary high school Principal with the ’prompter. Without it, he sounds like a jive-talking turkey.
Bush on the other hand was a consistently inept speaker, sort of like a drunken salesman at a Palmdale city council meeting.

FLASH: Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Greta Van Sustren, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, and whoever the hells’ on ABC…
what have all these folks got in common? they all use ’prompters!

Yes, Coober. They all use ‘prompters. The point of the blog is Obama can’t function when one fails. He’s proven that a number of times.

This babbling walking talking tool has more gaffs on You-Tube in a few months than Bush had in 8 years. Without a teleprompter, he’s toast.
